Guest el_chupanegre
hey all, just wanted to ask if there was an ad blocker that works for linux. for example, in windows u have stuff like adblocker and admuncher. im not bothered about popups as i use opera, but flashing banners etc really annoy me! chris z
here's one............... http://www.murty.net/mblocker/ never tried it, or any ad blocker for that matter, so i can't vouch for it. but, it looks easy enough to install & use. says for Netscape & IE, but from reading the instructions it looks like it should work for any browser. Darkelve
If you push 'F12' in Opera and uncheck 'enable gif animations', that should be some improvement already... as long as they are animated gifs and not flash.
pmpatrick
Firefox and mozilla both have an excellent ad blocker extension you can install called "Adblock". See this link: http://adblock.mozdev.org/ Adblock works great.

sellis
Adblock works great. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I second that vote. Mozilla Firefox + Adblock +gif animations OFF is what I use.
