in case you have some space left on your hd (=enough space for second distro), try vidalinux(=gentoo clone for noobs). works without problems and has acrobat-reader plus mplayer and all that stuff already included.

Argh im in love with mandrake to much to switch distros atm.

Im thinking maybe i can use kron to set it up for me every hour or so if thats possible?

Anyone have any idea if this issues been patched, if so how can i get the patch or even other patches for mandrake, if im not subscribed to their service.

me personally i tried to update three different routers and only one of them actually had a firmware update. it is a shame that the router support is so poor by the vendors.  :furious3:

My D-Link wireless DI-624+ works perfectly. :P

I just plugged it in and it worked straight away....... :D

Hey joltz, Another wild stab in the dark,

I take it your mac addresses are all the same on your box, router, ISP ?

Current firmware installed on the modem is the most recent with no resolve.

Im starting to think its actually mandrake, guess i may have to wait for a patch.

The way i see it everythings configured fine, because even when my DNS names get over written, the net still works (especially local aussie sites r fine) but most of it doesnt. So it has to be the o/s...

Ok ive managed to fix it.

Thanks for all the help once again, appreciate it.
