OK - I've installed MDK 10.0 and have it mostly working. Now that I have an ADSL connection going I want to download the updates but the update tool in the system configuration only ever gets an error 9 or 0 when trying to update. Has anyone else had this problem and how would I go about fixiing it?

Cheers:)

could you please post the complete error you're getting? if it says something like "failed to retrieve........curl blah, blah......." it could be as simple as changing to a different update source mirror. sometimes mirrors go down & are unavailable. in lieu of something else right now, try a different mirror.

Unable to add medium, errors reported:

...retrieving failed: rsync failed: exited with 10 or signal 0

retreival of source hdlist (or synthesis) failed

no hdlist file found for medium "update_source"

problem reading synthesis file of medium "update_source"

It does this with every mirror on the list. The only change that occurs is the first error number - most of the time it's a 9 or 10 but occasionally I've seen a 23.
