Draco Araurlis
In my box which is running Mdk 10.0 I have 2 NICs. the first one (eth0) is working sweet. The second one I'm having some difficulty with. I've just bought an ADSL modem so that I can migrate to a BB internet connection which I want to share through the Linux box. I set the NIC up as a DHCP/BOOTP unit so that it gets its IP from the modem. This seems to work as an ifconfig shows as having an IP in the correct range. Then I open the browser to go to the modems homepage - all good so far. When I try to log on to the modem I lose all connection with the NIC. Now, IIRC, the NIC (an old CNet 200pro) is using Tulip as the driver. Any suggestions? Any other info required?
devries
You can check the module the NIC uses (and change it) in the Mandrake Control Center (MCC->hardware->hardware). Experimented a bit (only one NIC, switch modems etc etc). Good luck.
Draco Araurlis
OK - found the issue. It was the default install of Konqueror. Changed this to Mozilla and it's all go. Thanx
