DOlson
Okay, I've never had probs with spellcheck and OOo until Mandrake 9.0. Does it work for anyone? My words don't get picked up as wrong. I've looked at all the settings. Just wondering if it's just me or not.
Guest rsd
Who knows, perhaps your spelling improved recently? :-) Don't have 9.0 installed yet. I need to work heavily for the next while, although I could probably fire up vmware and install in it for testing purposes....
Guest anon
Just checked, it did not correct spelling errors until i put a tick in language modules, Openoffice Myspell Spellchecker, The only thing ticked before was the Openoffice thesaurus. DOlson
That's weird... I wonder why it wasn't enabled by default? That's gonna throw many people for a loop. I had to go in there, then switch to Canada, in there and in the Language settings. Works now. Thanks anon! I've never looked at that part before. Not sure why. Guest anon
OK then young lady, click on tools, options, language settings, writings aids, and put a tick in Openofficeoffice Myspell Spellchecker. Also make sure in language settings, language, you choose english US as default. ( unless you want to spell english correctly, in that case choose English UK )

DOlson
Okay... MY settings don't stay after I close it, and it's a PITA to have to set that every time. My wife's comptuer does the exact same thing. I think I'm just gonna install the official release or something.
Guest anon
My settings have been saved, maybe alter them in root might work ??
DOlson
My settings have been saved, maybe alter them in root might work ?? No, I tried that already. I screwed with the KDE Control Center's personalization stuff, and that doesn't help either.
