Problems with Mounted partition

You want to create a folder under /mnt represeting the formatted partition?

That's not possible. The folders you see are links to devices (hope I said that correctly). Use the MCC to 'add' the partition. MCC, share points, partitions (disclaimer: translated from dutch so actual wording ayt be different)

So the partition isn't part of home/yourname...

If you use KDE, open a konsole, log in as root, type konqueror, right click on the folder representing the partition, choose properties, tab accesrights and change the settings.

If you don't use KDE you have to use the chmod command.

Good luck
