I recently installed Mandrake 10.0 official on my laptop and am trying to get the wireless card working. Its a 8180L.

When I run loadndisdriver pci_vendor pci_device window_driver.sys window_drive.inf

I get an error say

Cannot find minor for kernel module. Module loaded?

The kernel version when I run uname -r is 2.6.3-7mdk

Any idea on how to fix the error loadndisdriver is issuing?

Thank you

I bought a CNet CNWLC 811 PCMCIA card and plug into the Mandrake 10. After pcmcia_cs was installed, the card was detected in boot but failed to assign IP address. After the installation of package atmel-firmware and reboot, iwlist eth1 scan worked, ifconfig eth1 192.168.2.3 worked, everything worked well like magic!

What is your card and which chip is in it matters. You must give more detail to let others know to assist you.

Hello,

On the name of this topic the Card is WPC11 which is what I have and it's from Linksys. I don't know much about wireless cards but my guess would be that since they have the same name they should be the same card. Anways you can find out how to get the WPC11 card from Linksys ( if that's what you have ) by clicking here

I'm probably going to set up mine today. Hope this helps,

Thank you for your replies.

What I really want to know is how to fix the error message:

"Cannot find the minor type of kernel"

Thanks.
