If an ISP doesn't use login script to connect then what else would it use, and is login script primarily used ??? Basically i spoke with my ISP (Intergate), and they said they don't use login script but some of the tech people were wrong before. I was trying to search the site for information but couldn't find it, I was wondering if someone could check the site to see if i missed anything ??

thank you

what are you using modem/cable.... dsl

if its dsl is it ATM or ethernet (PPPOA/PPPOE)

in fact DSL doesnt need login scripts, basically you have a physical line but they often impose them

when they do its usually as a pretent modem ppp script.

Im a bit lost.... if you can note down whats its saying it might help !

If not me someone else, might see something ...

mainly you just need to pass your authentification like username/pass

these scripts are usually in /etc/ppp and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts

have connected to the internet through my ISP

what exactly do you mean by that...

you can ping your ISP ???

its important ... it might be you can contact your ISP but nowhere else etc.

I doubt it is a plugin prob.... you can always remove the konqueror ones and rescan ... but it sounds more like a routuing or name resuolution problem.
