IceStorm
Excuse this question from a no nothing newbie. But is Mandrake Linux 9.2 / 10.0 more CPU intensive or RAM intensive?

Darkelve
Agree. You might be fine with relatively low processor speeds, but having low RAM can be a pain in the ass. Sure, I got certain Linux distro's to run on a 64MB RAM-laptop, but can you say *sloooww*? Tried it on another laptop, 128MB ram and the difference was *huge*. My desktop PC's has 256 RAM, and with Mdk10, kernel 2.6 it FLIES. Not sure why most people would need more than 512 RAM on a Linux box. Maybe I can ask aRtee, then again he's not most people ;) You certainly won't regret investing in extra RAM.

That's just crazy! 512 RAM should be enough for anyone! :D
NeoXP
I'm running ML 10.1 cooker on an PII 400@500 Mhz with 512 Mb Ram installed and ML 10.0 CE (with most recent Update packages) on a AMD 2700+@2300 Mhz with 512 Mb Ram installed. B) The difference in speed when booting is not that great, the most difference I notice is when starting up Apps.
sttroopers
You need MORE than 512 RAM for a GAME!? This isnt tuxracer or frozen bubbles I'm talking about here lol. 2k4 will run on 256, but MUCH better with 512 or more.
