Steve Scrimpshire
I have this DVD/CD-RW drive in my Toshiba Satellite laptop: http://www3.toshiba.co.jp/storage/english/...mbo/sdr2412.htm When I try to select 24x burn speed in K3B, it tells me that either the burner or the media does not support 24x write speed and kicks into auto, where it burns at an average of 13x. I am using Memorex 700MB CD-R media, which clearly says 48x multispeed. What is up? dmesg says this: hdc: ATAPI 24X DVD-ROM CD-R/RW drive, 2048kB Cache, UDMA(33) and I am using K3B 0.11.6cvs Edit: I am not using scsi emulation and had the same problem back when I was. Ixthusdan
I don't know, but I am using k3b 11.0.9, and I have encountered some problems with backup. Except, that I have a kluged system from the infamous unannounced cooker thing, I have kde 3.2.1, or maybe part of it, and the tools might be messed up. That's why I haven't been able to answer, because my main Mandrake is questionable at the moment! Sorry.
