Guest Kaladon Posted November 26, 2002 Report Share Posted November 26, 2002 Im a big fan of mandrake, but for the love of god, why is there a delay with orders? I preordered mine on the 5th of Nov. I have yet to receive anyword of delay or a tracking number. It was stated as of the 15th almost all the US orders were fulfilled. We are not going to try to explain away this failure on our part - it is completely our fault, and we are very sorry about this. Your order is part of a batch of which was not correctly sent to our shipping handler, and so unfortunately was not processed. We have located the source of the error, and will be shipping orders starting next Monday. We will keep you informed. As a way of apology, we will be offering you a complimentary six-month subscription to MandrakeClub Standard level, which will be activated as soon as we process your order (if you are already a Club member, your membership expiration date will be extended by six months). Once again, we apologise sincerely for this error, and wish to reassure you that we have done everything necessary to ensure this will not happen again. Should you have any questions about the status of your order, please send an email to mark@mandrakesoft.com, and we will do our best to reply within one working day. And it said that my order was part of a batch that wasnt sent out for shipping, and it will be shipped on wednesday ( the 4th I presume) . Well the email said they were sorry blah blah... Stating i quote "Your order will be shipped on wednesday - we apologise sincerely for the delay"; Wednesday being the 4th of December. I have yet to hear anyword... It pisses me off to no end, that i can just go down to bestbuy and get it; Yet im waiting for my shipment from mandrake. Im worried if i go buy it, and i ask for my money back from mandrake, i will end up getting it in the mail. UGH.... this is the worst business practice i have ever seen. Dutch Posted December 13, 2002 Report Share Posted December 13, 2002 I also had to wait ages but got the apology email after I'd got my order! - a reply email from Mark said "it looks like our bugs have got bugs" which made me grin. But even so I genuinely believe that it would be a pity if some of the posters here rejected Mandrake. Other forums have mentioned the mess that MandrakeStore has made with the Mdk9 ordering - but it's just one department of Mandrake - unfortunately a very high profile one. I think that the team at the Store have had their a**es kicked by the new CEO - or will have :wink: This mess with people's orders detracts from a good Mdk 9 distro, which is a pity.
