Witec
I have PPPoE ADSL connection, which i use trough broadband router. The problem is that the conneciton is not working unless i go to the DrakConnect and activate the connection. How i can make it so it automaticly connects to net without needing to activate manually? My Mandrake version is 9.2 Edited March 8, 2004 by Witec
Pzatch
Have you tried changing it in the DrakeXservices? It should be it the MCC under system.
Peppercorn
I had the same thing when I updated from 9.2 to 10rc2. I did a fresh install and everything was OK. Did you do an upgrade or has it just started happening?? What may have caused it to happen??
chris z
instead of using DrakConnect or having it start during boot, once booted you can issue the following commands in terminal as root........ to start connection: adsl-start to check connection status: adsl-status to stop: adsl-stop Chris
Witec
When i try to type ADSL -start in terminal as root it says that ADSL is not recognized as command.
chris z
it's cap sensitive & no spaces between......... adsl-start adsl-status adsl-stop just like that. Chris
chris z
as an alternative, if you don't wanna be bothered with connecting to the internet manually (with either DrakConnect or the CLI commands) you can always use MCC (Mandrake Control Center)->system->services & put a check in the "internet" box, click "apply" & "ok", to have your connection start during boot up.
