I have samba installed and working, i can access the shares in my windowsXP PRO server and see the printer shares. i installed my printer with cups http://localhost:631 and when asked Device i choose windows printer via SAMBA and then i write URI: smb://user:pass@workgroup/server/sharename (ofcourse i write my own user, pass etc. settings instead of these) then i choose manufacturer model etc.... It won't print anything though. Somethimes Printer state shows: "Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will retry in 60 seconds...ERROR: SMB tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED" sometimes it says: processing, accepting jobs. "Printing page 1, 5%" (there is a testpage in queue) Need to change something in smb.conf? could i be writing something wrong in URI (lowercase uppercase)? Ideas?

I just installed a download version of Mandrake 9.2 on my Epox 8RGM3I based machine. And the integrated network card isn't recognized. Does it work in mandrake 10? Or could someone explain how to make it work in 9.2? If i need to recompile/install new kernel or something, plz instruct me how to do that since im a newb.

When i try to type ADSL -start in terminal as root it says that ADSL is not recognized as command.

Thanks scoopy, i now did get it to print. After installing hpijs driver and selecting NEW DeskJet series (CUPS 1.1 en) as driver (since thers no Business Inkjet 1100D in the list). It is not perfect tho, it prints empty page after every print. And is there anyway to get advanced features, like dual sided printing to work?

I have PPPoE ADSL connection, which i use trough broadband router. The problem is that the conneciton is not working unless i go to the DrakConnect and activate the connection. How i can make it so it automaticly connects to net without needing to activate manually? My Mandrake version is 9.2

Any way to get this printer working with Mandrake 9.2?
