Guest Brit
Hi Ok i lood at glxinfo again and this line is confusing to me OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc. OpenGL renderer string: RADEON 9600 x86/SSE2 My cars is actually a ATI All In Wonder 9600 Pro. Does this make a difference before i move on. fissy
probably not... i think that the AIW capabilities don't work in linux. Search for a program or package called gatos on google, i think thats your best hope.

aRTee
Had a quick look, your dmesg doesn't tell me much, can you also add your xfconfig and the XFreelogfile (in /var/log/ -- there you also find the dmesg file - and btw, you have to make them readable by a normal user with chmod or chown)
Guest Brit
Ok Im attaching XFree86.0.log file....not sure what you meant by chmod...so i used chmod -r. Sorry learning!!! Sue XFree86.log

phunni
I didn't look at your config files - firefox wants me to download them as bin files... But, one thing I remembered - are you using the external agpgart module? The relevant line in XF86Config-4 is: Option "UseInternalAGPGART" "no" Try both yes and no and see what effect it has on your framerates - I remember this being quite significant for me...
