mtweidmann
I've got a strange problem Konqueror, whenever I try to access the internet the window opens and then freezes. Its quite happy running as a file manager, accessing ftp sites, or viewing websites stored on my hard drive. Also the problem is only affecting one particular user account. I've tried rummaging around the .kde directory and deleting some files but no joy (yet). I don't really want to have to delete all the KDE settings on mass, so anyone got any suggestions? PS The problem is recent, not from when I installed MDK.
chris z
not really sure on this one...... for starters, to get some more info, try this if you haven't already...... open a terminal & run konqueror from CLI as the user you are having the freezes with. just type konqueror, then hit enter. try going to some web sites. report back with any error messages it spits out. or, maybe the messages will give you the clue yourself. Qchem
move your .kde elsewhere and restart kde to get a new one. If this fixes the problem diff the files between the two .kde's and find the difference thats causing this behaviour.
mtweidmann
Chris_Z: Tried to run it from terminal, and get no feedback other than the launch info.
