time to buy a ups like me... im looking at one a 1500va one JUSt for the server and hub's and cable modem..  149.00

I have one. There was such a massive surge coming through that it basically shut it self down to try to save the machines. lol Thats what I get for living in an old poorly wired apartment I guess.

The default config of postfix refuses to relay mail except to the network(s) you specify, and will not deliver locally except to valid users. Postfix can also look up in RBL to block spammers, although this is sort of overkill.

A note: if you use webmin to edit your config files and then have problems, check them with a text editor. Occasionally webmin will insert white space where it shouldn't, like at the start of a line, thus breaking your config.

sorry I sorta been busy for a while.

 

Im planning to restart this Qmail stuff and get it running....

I toyed with the idea of gouing back to postfix or something but I have messed about so much i mightest well continue.

well i got postfix going.. but i want to be able to send and recieve mail from the computers but use the server.. if you know what i mean.. : O) and i had a friend that runs a isp help me setup my postfix.
