liquidzoo
Looks like it's not getting an ip from your isp. I would start in MCC in the network config tool and try to configure the network from there. I would use the expert mode as it gives you more control over your choices. aRTee
I've seen this eth0:9 at a friends place,... We didn't find any other solution than to: 1- unplug the cable modem (that serves as a dhcp server) and wait a minute or so 2- plug back in, and start the network I found after a lot of searching that this eth0:9 has to do with zeroconf; only mandrake users seem to have problems there. One possible solution is to stop your network, then delete (move) the related file in /etc/network/ which is likely called eth0:9 or so.... Then restart the network. Again, I didn't have this problem, and for my friend it works it seems.

aRTee
Asked my colleague, he said he did: ifconfig eth0:9 down ifconfig eth0 up as root, naturally. That helped.
