  3. well thanks for all ur help but it still dont work.. maybe 9.2 is just ****ed... if i remember correctly 9.1 connected to the internet but just had resolution issues but i know how to fix that know thaks all
  4. i actually tried to use the network config tool in MCC and i entered all the correct info but still no internet :( any ideas?
  5. i got the driver for the broadcom 440x that came with mdk9.2 installed and appears to be configured correctly but the internet still does not work.     hmm weird the module is there as b44.o.gz but modprobe b44 :module cannot be found. :o

    there was no file named b44.o in //lib/modules/2.4.22-10mdk/kernel/net/drivers/ there wasnt even a drivers directory in the net directory

    i am running mandrake 9.2 but i am having lots of probs with my ethernet. the mandrake installation picked up my ethernet with no problems but when it came time to configure it to access the interenet whatever i tried didnt seem to work.. i have all the correct information such as DHCP etc. any ideas on what i can do to get the internet to work?
