skrewball
i am having weird resolution problems. mandrake 9.2 picked up and configured my video card properly. my problem is my resolution is set to 1024x768 but my screen area seems like 620x480. I have tried editing the XF86Config file manually and even set the virtual desktop to 1024x768 but it dosnt seem to change. any help on this would be greatly appreciated Thanks :D

ac_dispatcher
May want to post your XF86Config-4 file as well.
johanl
I don't know College Linux, but have you ever tried an older version of Mandrake? Also, your videocard is integrated on the motherboard and shares its memory with the RAM? You can also see if your card is supported on the Mandrake site, maybe there are some remarks about it there. Leo
have you tried adding a modeline labelled "1024x768" to you monitor section and then in place of the virtual entry in the Display subsection, adding mode "1024x768"
