      Mandriva Official Documentation

Official documentation for extant versions of Mandriva can be found at doc.mandriva.com.   Documentation for the latest release may take some time to appear there. You can install all the manuals from the main repository if you have Mandriva installed - files are prefixed mandriva-doc.

So you may have noticed the forum software has upgraded !!!
A few things that have changed. We no longer have community blogs (was never really used) We no longer have a portal page.
We can discuss this, and decide whether it is needed (It costs money) See this thread: Here

Google discontinues Google/Linux

Recommended Posts

Having been puzzled by the results I've been getting with Google/Linux, I've done a bit of digging and found that Google has discontinued a number of specialised search facilities - but didn't bother to announce it.

If you use www.google.com/linux, you are redirected to www.google.com/webhp. To get Linux results, you have to include the word in the search terms.

Thanks to the unofficial GoogleSystem blog for the information.

At first I was thinking "What a pack of clowns, shutting that down."

But the I remember google is a business, which is working on Android plus other OS's, so why make it easier for your competitors?

I guess I'll have to use the forum more :)

I never used those options anyway, I simply did what they suggested naturally and probably most people did that as well, so I can understand why they dropped them.

Both android and ChromeOS (Google's OS offerings) are based on Linux. Are; essentially, in fact, Linux.

ditto. I used to use them but now typing linux (or my distro) first then my keywords deliver the same value that I need.

ciao!

Thread title is ambiguous, borderline sensationalist.

Ditto that.
