smccollom
I have just joined the mandrake club. I am looking for the prism 2.5 drivers for the d-link dwl 520 wireless nic card. I did a search and found several types. some say mandrake linux cooker some say mandrake 9.2 contribs. The 1st question is how do I know which one I need? The second question is can I download this through windows xp onto a CD and then install it on Linux since I don't have a linux connection yet? I tried clicking on one of the rpm sources and then it brought up a list of mirror sites. Then I clicked on one of the United States and it said something about "Failed to change directory". I guess I need to learn how to download and then does mandrake automatically no where to install the driver or do I need to tell it where it goes? scoopy
Welcome aboard, Definiately use the contrib's one first. Cooker is for the newest test versions. Yes, you can download and burn on windows (or mac). The install process will depend on what type of file you download (.rpm .tar)
