linux_learner Posted December 10, 2003 Report Share Posted December 10, 2003 i was in #musb last night i suggested that we (those of us with the experience and knowledge) write howto's for the various firewalls, since firewalls is one of the most common questions this topic gets. i am familiar with arno's firewall, guarddog (somewhat), and firestarter. i need help with the others. KMyFirewall, Knetfilter, GTK-IPTables, ipkungfu, shorewall, iptables, and netfilter. if i missed any please include it as well. the howto should include screenshots (if there are any), link to the firewall documentation, and a link to the download. linux_learner Posted December 10, 2003 Author Report Share Posted December 10, 2003 true, but not everyone does that, or even likes that. some do prefer the front ends. so by all means Qchem, write a nice iptables howto. look at how many people have asked questions about guarddog. this is why i'm doing this. as i am not familiar with all of them, i am asking for help.
