  1. I thought I made it cleared in my first post . You don't need Cedega. The linux /OSX client is build upon the Cedega/cider engine, but that's it - You simple request (which are also described in the link) the linux client which comes in .deb/.rpm/.tgz from EVE-Online.com without any extra charge.
  2. With the new version of EVE-Online comes support for Linux and OSX clients. The Linux and OSX is based on Transgaming Inc. technology and comes in various package formats (.deb .rpm .tgz). No need for purchasing or extra cost by using these clients - You pay the same amount as the Windows user. To get the Linux and OSX client you have to request it on technical petitions for the time being. Source: Ubuntu Gamers Arena

  5. I havn't tried it yet (as it not my kind of game :P), but I read you need to download the songs into stepmania. Check if there's hidden .stepmania folder or you might check the installation path of syepmania and move the song there. http://www.stepmaniawiki.com/wiki/Song_Download_Sites Try with: locate stepmania whereis stepmania To see where it is.

  9. We'll properly see the linux client ready around middle of December.

  11. Properly a safty device that make sure you don't waste your life :P A bug report is in order I guess. You could try putting the CDs down on the HDD and try that way.
  12. Congratz! B) If that methode works then it's cool. I think it's easier way if you use Ubuntu (gnome), I'm not sure with XFCE.
  13. Can't wait to try it! Burned a DVD and now waiting for my new computer (which is sadly delayed due to huge demanding at Dell).

  15. This isn't a distro versus distro thread. It's news headlines. Please keep such stuff away. I'm not sure. But it should be available through synaptic. ------------------------ Another news: Fluxbuntu: http://fluxbuntu.org/ - 3 days
  16. I doubtly think it would comes to that No need for re-installation, just make a distro upgrade. Most linux distro (if not all) can do that.
  17. Then it's properly not for you then. As it comes with bulletproof X and Graphical configuration tool for X. But you could go for server install and build up from there ;)
