Artificial Intelligence

As far as I know AA is not linux supported anymore. I don't know how many which actually running the old version, which can be a problem if you want to play against others.

EVE-Online Linux Client is now in testing phase. Cedega subscribers have the pleasure to test out the new Linux Client and should have received an email from CCP (the company behind EVE-Online). Not yet . Properly later. Also X, Y, Z distro need to build a plugin with their logo (or something else) as it's only Ubuntu (and diviants) screensavers atm. I think a glass Arch Linux logo that slowly spinning would look cool.

Looking great! I diffently going to try it *shows his silver star member card* By the way, how well is the 64 bit version of Mandriva? I'm asking because I'm going to invest in a brand new 64bit PC. I see there have been some work on Rpmdrake (in the release notes) which is really great (one of my beef with mandriva earlier). Also hope Mandriva "clean up" the menu or put it better together :)

Quite easy. You have Synaptic Package Manager for gui, and you have apt-get/aptitude for commandline. If you setup the sourcelist correct you'll have over 22000 applications/libs available. Also there's alot of unofficial sources you can set up if you like. A good place to start to setup the sourcelist is; http://www.ubuntu-nl.org/source-o-matic/ You can set it up by gui, but easier by command if you know how (or I can help you if needed). Linux game companies have started to make their games available so you can put them into your sourcelist (but usually these games require more horsepower than your system. I would recommend Ubuntu, even though you don't like it. It's quick and easy. Elive is another recommendation. It's E17 Debian Etch build. While it may be a little difficult (way diffrent interface) it works very well. Also you can choose Nvidia driver from the live distro out of the box. But it's a bit slow on boot-up.

Why'o why still mandriva still bloat the menus :D

Yep-- fullscreen hardware acceleration during video playback using OpenGL/GLX on Linux, where available... and functional. If you find that it does not work right, you can disable hardware acceleration using the "Settings..." menu from the right-click context menu.
