  1. i Dont know what PyQt you have installed but the one you have installed needs to be rebuild since that is a typical error message showing that was built against some you dont have in your system, but of course only with this info isnt possible to me more accurate.
  2. You are totally right, i have build all needed rpms to have usb working fine in wich gnome-volume-manager and others but i have only build those rpm for x86_64, ill build them for x86 and upload them when i finish releasing a new kde and some other multimedia plugins, so tomorrow i think all will be uploaded in x86 repo, sorry for this. kind regards,
  3. Of course like it was done in past (adding a more update kopete version than the one from the branch) I did a new kdenetwrok release kdenetwork-3.5.4-2.mdk2006.0.mde in wich i put kopete-0.12.1 but in this version still was existing a very annoying bug regarding icq (read http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=130630), but i saw today that there is a new kopete-0.12.2 that haves all that resolved and im building it now. NOTE: first i use to build rpms for x86_64 and then for x86, so maybe tomorrow x86 can be all uploaded :) kind regards,
  4. Its a good option to create a local urpm media and install rpms from there however that way you never know where are there updates, and i have already had add updates, new mplayer, new kde, new amarok, etc...
  5. If you enter MDE website you have there all explained (kde install instructions, MDe urpmi repo addition, the support sites), but mandrivausers have disponibilized to MDE a thread where users can put all questions https://mandrivausers.org/index.php?showforum=49 Im one of the MDE developers, you can ask me directly in irc, from freenode servers irc.freenode.net using a irc client or here or also in mandriva club, just enter www.mde.djura.org and read all about. regards,
  6. I dont understand why you want to use gnome when kde is more user-friendly, less buggy, more in many things. When you report a problem you must also provide detailed info else developers will not be able to help since they dont know what the problem is. Again about MDE you find latest kde available (kde-3.5.4), thing that mandriva doesnt provide, and more advanced and complete apps.
  7. have you tried kde MDE stuff? We never had any arts troubles, there is a sticky topic for MDE (Mandriva Enhanced RPMS) in Software dir, but you can always enter ww.mde.djura.org and check our new kde-3.5.4 greetings,
  8. Im releasing kde-3.5.4-0.pre.1 Im naming it as a pre release since kde-3.5.4 still wasnt officially released, but it will in a few days. regards,
  9. I have previous told that were there more packages, ut i see that this post is from Jun 16 2006. Are you still having any problems?
  10. In cups.conf replace the line that haves (or just put it as a comment): Listen /var/run/cups/cups.sock replace with: Listen localhost And from now on the only prob will be the time that takes to load.
  11. MDE means what? MDE stands for Mandriva Enhanced I have released cups-1.2.1-4
  12. As i said you have all needed kde install intructions in MDE website, follow them and you will not have any problem.
  13. When you format it? what you mean by this? You also you write down urpmi conf, also dont get what yo mean. You have all the needed kde install intructions in MDE website, please follow them.
  14. It is not beta, we are already going in kde-3.5.3-10
  15. I have tried but i really dont see how is possible to run cups-1.2.1 well, so i have decided to start using cups-1.1.2 from Mandriva 2006 and next kde releases will be built against that cups version. greetings,
  16. the only problem i had was that after i add the printer i didnt saw it available so i id logout and then the printer was available. A fact is that to print a file is too slow, really very slow, ill try check what is delaying it so much.
  17. There isnt any problem, the option to add a printer through a paralel ot usb port appears greyed when there isnt no printer attached to your machine, this is logical. If you attach a printer to your machine then the option will appear available.
  18. I see, this is a new problem, ill get my hands on it.
  19. usb storage devices fixed on new packages releases
  20. mmodem

    ksystray

If you want that kmix and krandtray be auto started each time you login in kde you just need to run them once, run console and type kmix and run it and do the same for krantray and just run them clicking in the correct entry of kmenu.
  21. I have uploaded new packages from glib2, dbus, avahi, hal, mono, kde packages, etc, check. You use x86? Here in both arches all runs fine. Anyway it would be good that we could see the error, maybe start those by konsole and paste the the output.
  22. So why are you posting here thats fro only for official releases, yet for what i have speaked with blino isnt he who will fix it, that depends on hal or do a patch for kde, but this suposing you continue using gvm since with ivman i have things working normally
  23. You did really read what i said, right?! Havent you saw that i said i got another to automount usb storage devices?!
  24. Dont downgrade anything, this is a problem that is afecting all distros, still in cooker wasnt solved, but meanwhile you have 2 options, one is to create an entry in /etc/fstab for the usb storage device so this way is mounted when inserted in wich you have this site http://ldots.org/prodrive/ that explains you all the needed steps and doubts. The other option is wait that i build the necessary packages for x86 to automount usb devices using another method, this was already fixed in x86_64 but meanwhile i didnt build those packages for x86 since appeared me other problems and i have to do a clean install of mandrica 2006 before proceed.
  25. new aMule-2.1.3 released for both arches x86 and x64
