  1. Will give them a call and find out. Thanks for the input.
  2. Okay everything is configured properly, but now, how do I go about sending and receiving mail using postfix so that it goes out to www.no-ip.com ? This is the first time I have played around with mail in linux. I have read and followed all the Tuts, FAQs, and HowTos. Everything should be ready to go, I want to be able to send and receive mail from my other redirects, and my ISPs mail servers, into my internal mail server. Can this be done ?
  3. Yes I am using Private Network address range and Port forwarding on the Linksys. I use to run a webserver using linux, and never had any problems with the router before. That is until I moved from Canada to the US, then I let Cox host my personal site. Now I want to create another one on my own box, and since I moved to Mandrake 9, it has been giving me problems suddenly.
  4. Looks like Epic has finally acknowledge to hole in the Unreal Engine, and they definately messed up BIG TIME :D Now lets see how long they will take to finally fix some of the holes ?
  5. I have all this setup and running great, as well as logcheck, I had to reinstall postfix a few times, kept missing the newaliases symlink for some reason. It is running great now, but my question is, what exactly is it that we enter, as our mail server info at www.no-ip.com ? They require you to enter a valid email server into the MX records settings at their website. Anything I have entered so far has not worked. I have tried, mail.no-ip.org server.no-ip.org, but I am still not able to actually send or receive email using my newly registered Domain name. I can send email locally, but that is it. There website is vague on this part as well.
  6. I purchased the game as well, great single player graphics, but kinda boring playing U2 with network play. Kinda like playing UT2003 by yourself
  7. :x I have ran local web servers before, but suddenly using Apache 1.3.26, on Mandrake 9.0. Now no one can get to it from the Internet. We can access it from the LAN just fine. I am using Guarddog FW, but have both opened up the ports on it for Web Traffic, and I have also just diabled it all together. I also have a Linksys Cable/DSL Router (BEFSR41) and for now I have just put myself in the DMZ to try to figure out why this is happening. Like I said, I have run Web Sites from my own maching using apache and have never had so much problems like I am this time. I can even run dedicated gaming servers with no problems. Here is my /etc/httpd.conf file. Most of it is just the default settings, and I have tried a few combinations in the Global Settings, but anyone who tries to connect get permission denied or files can't be accessed error, with either the redirect or just using the IP Address directly. I have tried changing the file permissions /var/www from ROOT to Apache, but this didn't seem to do anything either. Anyone else have any ideas ? I am mega stumped on this one. Thanks.
  8. I have seen that traffic many times, including when it initially hit the internet. It is better now as CodeRed, or Nimda variant Worms. You will get scanned by this worm on a daily basis. It is originating from other MS infected Web Servers. You can read up about it at any reliable AV Vendor site. There is a way to fillter it out by putting a line in one of the Apache configuration files. I lost the how to, sometime ago though. Sorry.
  9. Uh Oh, he is hiding something from us :)
  10. From what is reads, it is a flaw in the Unreal Engine itself, so it should effect all versions regardless of which OS it is running on. It seems to be a denial of service via network attack. This is not the first time that an advisory was released on some of those games. Hopefully they will acknowledge it, and release a patch to fix the bug.
  11. The reason why I am posting this, is because of how many games that are impacted by this vulnerability in the Unreal Engine. I got this from BUGTRAQ today, and I wanted to make everyone aware of it. Apparently they have not had any responses back as far as acknowledging the vulnerability. :|
  12. I didn't see anywhere about being able to play on Win32 Servers ? Is this still a no go with Beta 2 ?
  13. hehehehehe does this one self destruct too ?
  14. The Kingpin installer worked great for me. I no longer require WineX to play now. For some reason the binary I download, (Other Post) just would not play the game. The installer worked just great though.
  15. This one was right under my nose  It seems that Ravage has an Installer for Kingpin. I could have used that one a while ago. Here is the Download link for the installer. There are other Unreal installers too for the other releases, such as Gold and Return to Na Pali. http://icculus.org/~ravage/kingpin/ http://icculus.org/~ravage/

    SS:SE ??

Crap, I am from the same part of the damn country you are. So I don't go telling me about learning how to speak english better. I do not speak any friggin worse than you do. I will admit that I was wrong in how I interpreted what you wrote.
  19. I did the following but the "newaliases" command does not work with PostFix and Mandrake 9.0. I had to run the "newaliases.postfix -I" command to get it to work. I can see the mail going into /var/spool/mail/postfix, vice /var/spool/mail/user. I can even view them, and they are the output of the cronjob that Logcheck does. Why is the mail going to postfix vice my user account ? Anyone have any ideas ? Upon further examination of the /usr/bin/newaliases file, it is suppose to be symlinked to /etc/alternatives/mta-newaliases, but this file doesn't exist. The file is missing, there is only /etc/alternatives/mta and /etc/alternatives/mta-rmail. So now I know why it would not run when I tried to run the "newaliases" command. Does anyone one know where this file is supposed to be symlinked to ?

    SS:SE ??

Excuse me ?? I never said anything about negative about more FPS games, that is all I play are FPS games...so you can basically go F%$# youself DOlson. What input you did have is already all over the game forum. If you don't have anything good to say just keep your mouth shut and your opinions to yourself.

    SS:SE ??

I have not heard much about "Serious Sam:Second Encounter", anyone know if this will be another installer ? Will we have to buy it from TuxGames ? I know that Ryan is going to release another BETA of SS:SE, but I am speakingin terms of the final release ? This is the final game I have been waiting for, once I have the game installed, Windows is toast:) I have even been eye balling a new 120 Gig drive to add to my linux file system.
  22. BVC; I am using Mandrake 9.0, and yes both PostFix and SendMail are installed an running. When I try to run #newaliases it does nothing. just hangs there, if I run; #newaliases.postfix -I (Intialize DB) It actually does something.
  23. I managed to get the combination working really well using LM_Sensors.
  24. This didn't work for me either, I was not able to run the "newalias" command where the TUT said to, I think it is because of the differences in versions.
  25. Just in case anyone is wondering why they may have lost Internet since last night. I would recommend blocking ports 1434 and 1433 (TCP/UDP) on your firewalls. See Below URLs for more info. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uklatest/story/0...2349890,00.html http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/alert.htm
