  9. Hello i tried thyis operation and the problem is still here. I think then since there is no solution, that i will uninstall open office for good and try to get another office application, because i do not want to recreate an other user (that would be a nightnare reciprocating all my usual settings, mails accounts, bookmarks, graphic interface, etc.) I don't think i can copy all my settings into my new account, can i ?
  10. every /.xxx file is a hidden file. you can see them by activating "show hidden files" in the konqueror menu. you do not need to log in as root for that. please create a new user-account (give it any name you want) and log in. start open office. does it happen there again? if yes, it is a system-bug, if not, it is only a minor issue in your specific user-environment. good luck. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i created another user and i opened open office and it works fine i also tried to delete the /.openoffice folder but it does not solve the issue
  11. I take it that OO.o stands for Open office. org. If this is the case i already tried to do that. I removed the package and installed them again, but the issue is still here.
  12. Thanks for the info. I was able to find it after all with the information you gave me and it works fine now.

  14. I thought that i would post a snapshot of the openoffice.org interface so that you can see the pb by yourself. This is what it look like when i open it . This is only with this software that it happens and only with a specific user (in Kde environment)
  15. I installed Ksmoothdock on m mandrake 10.1 OE and this is a cool feature. I wanted to install version 3.5.1 but when i try to install it from the source, an i run ./config in the console, it tells me : Configure : error : C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check See "config.log2 for more details. So since i was unable to install from the source, i downloaded the rpm package available. Now my systems tell me that the ksmoothdoc-3.5.1 was successfully installed, but i cannot run the application. i cannot find ksmoothdock in my menu items and when i try the command ksmoothdock in the console, it tells me "batch command not found.
