The 90 px was just for the logo. The entire banner is 104 px in height but that can be adjusted a little thru the css. So 100 px should be fine.

It is nice but once again I have to wonder if it's tileable. Remember we can't use a fixed width banner.

What's the code number of the colour the board uses? The blue background?

Here's what lspci lists: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 (AirForce One 54g) I'm googling to see if I can come up with something.

Well they got Gentoo right. :P

In windows for network adaptors it shows a Broadcom 802.11g and a SIS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adaptor and that's all. I guess I'll have to google some more to find a driver but I haven't much luck so far.

Well what I wound up doing was using diskdrake to create all my partitions. Then I tried to install XP Pro which I have a copy of. That wound up in an endless loop so I used my restore cds to restore XP. Took two tries before it succeeded! Then I installed Mandriva and except for wireless in Mandriva everything is working. But that's another story that I posted in networking.

I recently purchased an Acer laptop. Mandriva doesn't recognize the card which is built in. I called Acer and the only thing they could tell me was that it's a Broadcom. I have googled this and not found anything.

Any suggestions?

Buy a kvm switch. I use one and it works great. KVM stands for keyboard, video and mouse. I'd recommend going with a little nicer one as I had a cheap one and it gave me a lot of problems. With the one I currently have I just press a button to switch back and forth. Couldn't be easier.

It's not formatted as ntfs, it's fat 32. I tried auto-allocate and it told me there wasn't enough space. But the two drives equal 40 gbs so there has to be plenty of space. And in bios they are seen as one harddrive, not as two so I can't do anything about that. I normally custom partition but I don't see why this computer has two harddrives instead of one and if anything important is on the second hard drive.

ian, I'm not sure how to do this. I didn't see anything in rescue mode for this. (sorry, I haven't used Mandriva in ages)

I'm trying to install Mandriva on a new laptop. For some reason it has two hard drives. I'm not sure what's on what so I want to let Mandriva automaticalaly install but I'm caught in a loop. It asks me if I want to install using extra space on Windows partition, I say yes, then it takes me right back to the original partition window. I'd chose advance and do it myself but I'm not sure if I'd be wiping something out that I need. Any advice?

Very nice arctic! You used emperor penguines right? The only thing I'd like to see differently (and this is JMHO) is that the star look more like the mandriva star.

Do you know about the kubuntu developer problems AI? There's a kubuntu developer on the Gentoo forums and from what he says they might drop kubuntu if they can't get support.

That's really cool AI. I love the modern look. You can also make your own background if you want. Just remember that it has to be able to be tiled to fit any resolution.

We did actually get permission from Mandrake when we first started the board to use their logo so that's not a prob.

We had a discussion about this. If you want to submit a new background you can do it with your logo. But the background has to be scaleable because we don't used a fixed with. It's set to work with any resolution.

Nice but you guys need to remember that it'll be going on top of the background of the penguins. So it needs to not have a background if you know what I mean. :)
