I was using the GOTY installer it even asked for the second cd and such.

does anyone know why my installation failed? this game jsut wont work on my computer ive been messing with it for most than 2 months now with no sucess

OMG i was just reading the LGFAG and it said "The 'Best of Infogrames' and 'Totally Unreal' versions of the game aren't supported at all." WHY THE F*CK did tux games send me it then!!!!!!! IF IT DOESNT WORK IN LINUX WHY DID THEY SEND ME IT! on top of that i had ordered the rune expansion and once i got it, it was another copy of rune! This really pissis me off.

ive gotten it to install no prob, but it still doesnt work i think i need to decompress the maps with that ucc program?

I installed the unreal tournament original edition not GOTY with the ut loki installer i found on there website. version 432 i think, should be the latest. but i get this error. i think i need to use that ucc program to decompress the maps but im not sure how to go about this theres some 200+ maps and i cant manualy sit there and decompress each one. is there some other way to do this or am i lost? what do i type to export SETUP_CDROM=/mnt/cdrom i just checked the console and found this? mount: special device /dev/sda1 does not exist im guessing it doesnt know where my cdrom is.

my problem was that it was not working with my cd? click on the link i added im not sure if my copy of serious sam is the retail one that the installer was made for. It was one of those value ones it was like 14 bucks. I already have the datafiles thats why i was woundering if there was a .tar.gz that had all the files i needed or if there was a way to get the install to just install the files i need but skip copying the data files from the cd.

Hey i just got my order from gogamer.com of serious sam and i went to install it and the installer will not work with my cd http://www.gogamer.com/cgi-bin/GoGamer.sto...uct/View/001SER i already have the game files via a wine install but i cant find the serious sam client files in a .tar.gz is there a way to get the installer to just install the client and skip copying the game data files? [/url] also i cant find the beta in a .tar.gz anywhere.

yea, im pretty good with linux i have it on 3 of my computers and can usualy fix most if not all the problems i run into, and i can follow directions. also how is connectiva? i think there from brazill or somewhere down south of me, but have any of you used it? i never see any reviews for it.

Hey ive been useing mandrake since 8.1 and its been working out pretty good for me but lately ive just been getting anoyed with it and i have come to the conclusion that i should see whats out there. Does anyone know a good distro i should try? im looking for something thats not too nerdy, but something that has good package management apt for mandrake seems to be worthless and rpm's are driving me crazy! i dont want to have to compile anything! and one that has a nice install would be great too! i dont like lindows,lycoris,xandros,redhat,suse yoper looks nice not sure what gentoos like and debian seems too nerdy for me but i could be wrong.

I just read this over on happypenguin.org TuxGames.com CEO Michael Simms wants everyone to know: Just thought Id let you know that Tux Games will ship NWN with mpeg versions of all the cinematics, meaning you shouldnt need to bother with emulators to play them. Whilst they dont trigger directly from in the game, we are including an additional program to make them run on request depending on your position in the game. This sounds good hopefully they will just sell there installer for people that already have the game.

Ive got a 2 machines 1 p4 2.0 Ghz and a AMD 2000+ both with a Nvidia Geforece 4 ti 4200 64 mb ram and the amd always pulls atleast 10-20 fps more than the p4 but it has almost similar specs 8)
