have you tried to boot the kernel with the option "noacpi" ?

I have a GF4ti4200 in xerama at home and a GF2mx in xinerama at work.

You do not need any other card than your 5200 !

Just plug the other monitor on your card, install nvidia drivers and modify you XF86config-4

Performance in 2d is very good (video overlay on the 2 screens)

For 3d it's a lot of pixel for the card to handle, and games are not adapted to ultrawide screens, so you just have to cycle to your next setup in XF86 with one single monitor.

Look at the doc/examples that comes with nvidia proprietary drivers.

ps: at home i have 2 sceens in xinerama + tvout ! 3 displays on one GF4 card.

talking back on AMD64, nvidia futur nforce4 looks very interesting !

i didn't meant to publicly spread the torrent.

I was just thinking that a silver member could privatly give mdk10.0amd64 to gowator, and in exchange he would write a review on the web for the information of all of us, and a little publicity for mandrakesoft.

But i'm far from having the money to buy an amd64, so i can wait 10.1 ! :-)

get kernel-source, kill X, install driver, adjust /etc/X11 file, restart X, that's it
