If your CD player supports MP3 playback, then yes it is as simple as burning a data cd full of your MP3's. Only certain CD players are capable of doing this, so check on the box or sometimes the product to find out. Otherwise you will have to make an audio CD of your music.

Doing a quick google search yielded some possible solutions. The first of which is fairly easy. Try reinstalling xine if you installed it before installing libdvdcss. The OS is loaded, just not X Window. At the command prompt type startx and you should be able to load your gui.

Are you referring to the actual sreen itself or the fact that you have to scroll over in programs like Firefox? If it is the screen itself, try adjusting the refresh rate. I've had the same problem before where the screen was off to the side of the monitor. A different refresh rate usually solves this problem.

Do you have the 64 bit version or the 32 bit one? I not sure if this really makes a difference or not, but if you are running a 32 bit version, try dowloading and installing the 64 bit one. It may be better suited for your 64 bit processor.

Try pasting this into the command line and adding the amarok server to urpm. urpmi.addmedia gkmweb http://www.gkmweb.com/amarok/2005LE with hdlist.cz I did this and it seemed to grab everything that I needed for the install. If this doesn't work, try reading the readme found on the Mandriva Linux download page for amarok. It may be of some help.

I agree. While USB ones can work there are still problems that can occur because the headset was to run with software. Also, whether this is true or not, it seems that a USB connection would not be as clear as a standard headphone jack to the back of your sound card.

If you havn't tried already, unzip the contents from the Firefox 1.5 download into a common directory such as /usr/lib. Each user should be able to access the program then. Although you will most likely have to create a link to the executable for each user on your system. This is what I've done and seems to work fine. You could also try using 10.1 or 10.2, both, I believe, come with Firefox 1.0.2 which can be patched to 1.0.7. Good luck.

Yes this is true, although I was hoping to avoid having to adjust in Windows whenever I logged in after using Mandrake.

Hi, long time reader, first time poster. Thanks to your great topics on installing the Nvidia driver I've had no trouble installing the driver. However once using the driver, the screen shifts down a couple of pixels cutting off the bottom of menu bar. I'm unable to see parts of the date and the full name of the menu button. I'm using Mandrake 2005LE with the 2.6.11-6mdk kernel. Returning the driver back to the standard vesa driver corrects the problem and my screen is properly positioned. If anyone can help with this problem or point me towards a previous topic it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
