  1. I clearly didn't read the release annoucement. Thanks for the cheat-codes. Will try them straight away.
  2. I'm tried it and must say I'm a little bit disappointed. Somehow it crashes on graphical card, which is a ATi Radeon X700. It seems to have a lot of problems with this card, even the failsafe-option has the same problem. It's a shame, as I had some what higher expectations of this release.
  3. Yep, it's kernel-2.6.17.13mdv.
  4. Great, thanks. But why do they have 2007.1 sources and for example Easy-urpmi not? At least for the moment.
  5. Ah oke. That's what I thought. Then I will have to wait a couple of days, before it goes public. B.t.w. Mandriva 2007.1 "Spring" looks great.
  6. Hi, I've installed Mandriva 2007.1 "Spring", but I was wondering what sources I need to add to my urpmi? As there are only sources for 2007 on easy-urpmi. Are there gonna be 2007.1 sources available, later this week when 2007.1 goes public? Thanks in advance.
  7. Thanks, for your replies Scythe and Scarecrow. I've solved the problem in MCC. Thanks to scarecrow. This x86_64-setup is for a test-situation, only.
  8. Thanks for the tip. Forgot all about it. :o
  9. I've tried Test-1 and at the moment I using Test-2. Overall I pretty excited and can't wait for the final release. I have encountered some minor bugs, but hey it's still a Test-version.
  10. It's just for a test-setup. I'm sorry for that, but I don't see any option here to Shut Down. I just see 3 options: - Enable autologin and select the user to automatically log in - Set up how the system boots - Select the graphical theme of the system while booting But none of the three, seem to have an option to add the option of Shut Down when I Log Out.
  11. Hi, I've just installed Mandriva 2007 x86_64 PowerPack on one of my computers at home. No problems with the installation however. But when trying to Shut Down Mandriva 2007 x86_64, all I seem to get is 1 option. Th eonly option that I'm getting is End Current Session. To bypass this problem, I enter the command shtudown in a terminal and excecute it as root. Is it missing a certain package or did I forget something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Amongst others, yes. Thanks, for the advice. Will do.
  13. Gnome 2.18 finally released. Read more here: http://www.gnome.org/start/2.18/
  14. By the way, the 3D-desktop is disabled. That's something for another time. ;-) Could it be I need to disable something in my xorg.conf?
  15. Hi, I seem to have a little problem here. The thing is, I did a clean install of Mandriva 2007 and after installing the kernel-source, I decided to install the nVidia-drivers out of the PLF-sources. No problem here. Everything went OK. After a reboot I logged into KDE, by the way the driver in the driver-section of my xorg.conf is nvidia, I wanted to make sure 3D-rendering was working OK. So I wanted to test it by measn of the command: glxinfo | grep direct But after I hit the Enter-key, X restarted and I saw the nVidia-logo and then I was able to login to KDE again. Same happens when trying to start a game which uses 3D, like Nexuiz or Planet Penguin Racer. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here or overlooking? Thanks in advance :)
  16. Those are my thoughts exactly. The problem is, I just don't know which rule.
  17. Thanks for your reply, Darkelve. Those were the exact steps that I followed. Except it doesn't refer to SELinux. And that is where I suspect the problem is.
  18. OK, I've found out that it doesn't start because of SELinux. After disabling SELinux I can start VirtualBox. But I would prefer to enable SELinux. What would I have to do or change in SELinux to get VirtualBox up and running and let SELinux to stay active as well?
  19. Hi, yesterday I've installed VirtualBox on a Fedora Core 6 pc. All went OK. But I can't seem to get the program started. So I've tried to start it from the commandline, to see the problem. This is what I get: VirtualBox /opt/VirtualBox-1.3.6/VirtualBox: error while loading shared libraries: /opt/VirtualBox-1.3.6/VBoxVMM.so: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied Just ot set the record straight. I've installed the appropriate kernel-headers and kernel-devel. And I've also added the user to the group vboxusers. I hope someone can help me ot here. Thanks in advance.
  20. Hi Pipa, it's probably a better idea, to direct your questions, regarding MCNlive, directly at the maintainer of MCNLive. She has an International board, at which you can post your questions in English. The board is a Dutch board, but there is an international section, especially for MCNLive at which you can direct your questions directly at the maintainer and creator of MCNLive. http://www.mandrivaclub.nl/site/index.php?showforum=31
  21. What does the -phigh-option do/stand for? Just curious.
  22. Hi, I've recently installed Mandriva 2007 on one of my pc's with Gnome 2.16. Somehow I'm growing more and more accustomed to Gnome. Anyway I can make all the changes I want, which I can find in Mandriva's Gnome, but I cannot prevent it from going into power-saving mode. Before I installed Mandriva on it, I had Ubuntu 6.10 on it, in which I could disable the power-saving mode without any problems. Under Ubuntu I had an entry called System>Preferences>Powersaving (excuse me is this isn't the right term, but I'm trying to translate it, into English as I'm having a Dutch-language desktop). But I can't seem to find it under Mandriva's Gnome. I hope someone can help me out here, because the power-saving mode is bugging me a little. Thanks in advance.
  23. Just out of curiosity. How did you solve the problem? Did the installation of Mandriva 2007 suffice?
