Try knights --help to se if you get any options.. and try it not using the root user.. it could be having problems with that.. or knights -v or kinghts --verbose these may or may not work or give you extra information.. scarecrow Posted May 26, 2006 Report Share Posted May 26, 2006 Looks like its built against a different kdecore. Have you tried compiling it from source? It runs well for me right now (0.6.4 beta, not on Mandriva), altough many versions of it were really buggy. You can also try Jose, which has more features (it's both a playing program and a chess database manager), and it's quite mature and stable.
