I had a nice 9.0 installation :D , then screwed it up  . I have a Matrox G400 dualhead video card which was detected as a non-dualhead G400. It worked great, but with only one monitor. In Mandrake Control Center I changed the video card selection to Matrox G400 dualhead, then rebooted. Now I can't get into X. How do I restore my video card selection from the command line? I'm a real Newby to the Linux command line enviroment, so detailed help would be great. Thanks -Brian

Try the manufacturer's site or do a Google search on both the card and dual heads in Linux. KDE has their own site which may speak to this issue. It would not hurt to put this question in the KDE newsgroup, the X newsgroup, the Matrix newsgroup and the Mandrake newsgroup. You can pick up these groups using the search feature in your newsreader in the "subscribe to newsgroups" section. This is really an X issue more than a KDE issue and you might want to look at their web site here: http://www.x.org/ . You could also read the mail archives at Mandrake Linux, both the newbie and the expert. These can be found here: http://www.mail-archive.com/newbie@linux-mandrake.com/ and here: http://www.mail-archive.com/expert@linux-mandrake.com/ .

Poking around with different settings in XFdrake can damage one or both of your monitors.
