DOlson
http://icculus.org/~dolson/mdkxp/?c=ttrls/copy-paste Lots of people ask me this over the IM protocols and IRC, so I wrote this tutorial. You can point people towards it, and if you didn't know how to do it correctly before, well, now's your chance to learn.
Guest flare
This for me works fine between KDE apps, but not between Evolution and KDE apps and GTK based apps. Maybe you could expand your page into how to manage when using apps developed for dirrent window managers
DOlson
It works fine for me. I frequently copy and paste things between Gaim, Sylpheed, Galeon, Quanta, and other apps.
zero0w
MDK9 with KDE 3 seems to be able to improve on this. Copy and paste worked across different applications such as GTK, KDE, Mozilla.org, etc.
Guest flare
Actually, you are correct it seems to be limited to just Evolution. I can't even cut and paste between it's composer and another email.
hugerobot
Most of the time, I have no trouble copying and pasting from one application to another, with one exception: copying an image from Gimp and pasting it into a document in Open Office. I tried Paste, Paste Special... and I have tried every option for Paste Special. What really burns me about it is that 'Paste Special' works fine for me from my graphics program (Paint Shop Pro 7) to Open Office running in Windows on my PC at work. So when I go home and try to do the exact same thing on my Linux machine (Mandrake 9/KDE), it doesnt work. Any ideas?
