qeldroma
I read it some days ago on mandrake.com. Very fascinating..... Ex.: I got a small net with several PC's bigger than 400MHz. A little dream of mine is to sum the resources and have them log onto one of them, that has got all necessary desktop apps. In clear text: Let's say 4 computers, everyone starting up with X, but nothing else(!!). Then the fifth computer in a small room, isolated. This serves the screens (terminal-solution) and the apps. But ALL machines are summed for calculating. That means, that the "desktop"-server got all machines power to serve them with their desktops, but having far more ressources, than alone.... In other words: Summing memory and summing CPU-Power for ONE machine, that serves ALL X-Terminals. Every small machine is two things at the same time: X-terminal AND clusterpart..... Phew... I hate explaining such difficult ideas, hope someone understood me

qeldroma
I think, too. What is the actual thinking concerning this topic (I remember the "howTo name it" competition well )?
