When booting in safe mode, the following message is displayed: Sound server informational message Error while initializing the sound driver device: default can't be opened for playback (connection refused) the sound server will continue using the null output device Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
scarecrow Posted August 3, 2009 Share Posted August 3, 2009 Surely enough the reason you cannot boot normally is not the failure of the sound server. The reason is different. For fixing the sound issue, run "alsaconf" in a root console. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
