this is more of a statement than a question. I have had problems getting connected with 9.2

The speedtouch would flash red and then stick.

For anyone who has the same problem here is the solution.

Open your /etc/modules.conf and add the line

alias speedtch off

save and restart and all should be well.

Thanks a lot. I have a speedtouch and will be upgrading to 9.2 at some point, and this will surely save me a lot of time. And I have lost a *lot* of time with the speedtouch.

Just to check: it is 'speedtch', not 'speedtouch'?

And is this for the blue/green or the purple speedtouch, or both?

And do you know why this extra line is necessary?

it wirks for me on my green speedtouch.

It is indeed speedtch

I am no expert but from what i can tell 9.2 has the speedtch.o module which it attempts to load at boot even though built in support for the speedtouch already exists.

You get an error insmod speedtch cant be loaded ( or something like that )

All we are doing is disabling support for speedtch.o

I dont really know why it is there at all, but i dont know much.

Enjoy.
