mittfh
(Not entirely sure whether virtual hardware queries should belong in software or hardware, so decided to play safe with software...) By default, cdemu / gcdemu creates just one virtual CD device at a time. However, a quick internet search reveals that apparently it (well, previous versions at least) can handle several simultaneous virtual CD devices - and there is a <device> parameter in the CLI (command line interface). However, specifying 1 or 2 results in: ERROR: Failed to load image: org.freedesktop.DBus.GLib.UnmappedError.CdemudErrorQuark.Code233492487: Invalid device number. So evidently it's currently only configured to use device 0 (i.e. one device). Is there any way to persuade cdemu to accept multiple (i.e. 2) simultaneous virtual CD devices? scarecrow
Most Gnome users are toying with FuriusISOmount, and most KDE users with AcetoneISO for that particular purpose. Both guaranteed to work OK right out of the box.
