I am getting the following message after I try to install the driver and print for my lexmark Z55 (the printer driver is not available in the list of printers with Mandrake 9 but I intalled the driver that Lexmark had for linux on there website. This is the error that I get:

"bgerror failed to handle background error.

Original error: lpr: unable to print file: client-error-not-found

Error in bgerror: can't find package msgcat"

It will not print at all. :?

any ideas

Just my thought, I had a similar problem with my HP printer until I went into PrinterDrake (found in the Mandrake Control Center) and updated my driver there to point to the correct printer, works like a charm now. Not saying that is definitely your problem, but it might be worth a shot.
