Guest vs77
I have a lexmark E320 printer. There was no problem in detecting the printer when connected directly to this computer. But when I wanted to print a test page it just kept printing some garbage. Also 9.1 was unable to detect this printer when it was connected to another computer running windows xp on the same network Could anyone please help me out I thank all of you in advance
static
I know that xp doesn't network so well even with 98 machines. Does the 9.1 see the xp box at all?
Ixthusdan
xp home does not network well. (Actually, it doesn't work well!) xppro does network. How is your network set up? dhcp? router? server? peer to peer? As far as the printer, changes drivers. Most have a selection of 2-3 per printer model. mtweidmann
The printing garbage is probably due to there not being an appropiate driver installed for printer. Lexmark prefers to make its own propiety drivers rather than release the info needed to make open sources ones. Have a poke around their web-site and they should be there some where.
