Hello everyone,

I am very new to linux. My video card is a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200. However, when I boot up it tells me that its not cofigured properly. So I can only run linux in text mode. So I went to Nvidia's website and found this site http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=linux_di...y_ia32_1.0-4363. Now I know I have to save the script as and I burnt it so when I boot back up into linux text mode I don't know the commands to install it from the CD.

Just download the script to your /home/yourname and execute (as root): 'sh ./NVIDIA-blabla.run' and do 'emacs /etc/X11/XFblabla-4' and replace 'nv' or 'vesa' with 'nvidia' and save. Start X (or just reboot) and it ought to work.
