neocytrix
Hello everyone, I am very new to linux. My video card is a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200. However, when I boot up it tells me that its not cofigured properly. So I can only run linux in text mode. So I went to Nvidia's website and found this site http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=linux_di...y_ia32_1.0-4363. Now I know I have to save the script as and I burnt it so when I boot back up into linux text mode I don't know the commands to install it from the CD. -Neocytrix
Ixthusdan
There is a good howto here. Download the driver here. You do not install the driver by booting into it, but by running the file per the instructions.
Guest LB06
Just download the script to your /home/yourname and execute (as root): 'sh ./NVIDIA-blabla.run' and do 'emacs /etc/X11/XFblabla-4' and replace 'nv' or 'vesa' with 'nvidia' and save. Start X (or just reboot) and it ought to work.
