liquidzoo
Probably a dumb question, but exactly how would I do that? What files (if any, and I assume there is at least 1) do I have to edit? I've run Mandrake for years (since 7.0) and I'm still learning new things every day. tyme
well....KDE has an autostart dir somewhere I think...this should help :-)
liquidzoo
Ok, I will give that a try yup, just have gnome-settings-daemon start with X or when you login to KDE and then run gnome-theme-manager to change themes. Are those the right filenames? I can find them from there if they are correct.
tyme
they look like the right filenames to me (checked twice). you'll need some gnome stuff installed, which you should have already if gaim works :)
liquidzoo
I have Gnome installed, I just don't use it; so I should be good there. Thanks tyme, I will give it a try when I get home from work.
liquidzoo
Ok, tried it. Here's what I found: I started the gnome-settings-daemon, no problem. I started the gnome-theme-manager and I got this in the console whenever I tried to switch themes: Window manager warning: Failed to read theme from file /usr/share/themes/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml: Failed to open file '/usr/share/themes/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml': No such file or directory I assume I am missing something, but what package do I need to install now?
