iphitus
well not problems, more cosmetic tweaks. 1) How can I change the bash prompt? eg: [james@dhcp-796-117 downloads]$ to: @downloads $ (downloads being current directory) 2) In screenshots of fluxbox 0.9 unstable, you see a term with rounded corners and no WM decorations. How can I get these? I use aterm. if not aterm, where can it be done? like here: http://fluxbox.org/zoom.php?shots-dev/alec...pka_fluxbox.jpg 3) bugger, i forgot it!! I'll post 3 when I remember it...... Thanks. James

liquidzoo
Don't know about 2, and maybe I can answer 3 when you think of it, but for your #1 question, check out this thread: http://www.mandrakeusers.org/viewtopic.php...5416&highlight= I think it was Steve that gave me the link that I used on my laptop to change this: [liquidzoo@laptop liquidzoo]$ to this as user: [ liquidzoo ]$ and this as root: [ liquidzoo ]# By the way, that's the folder name, not the username. tyme
2) In screenshots of fluxbox 0.9 unstable, you see a term with rounded corners and no WM decorations. How can I get these? I use aterm. if not aterm, where can it be done?like here:http://fluxbox.org/zoom.php?shots-dev/aleczapka_fluxbox.jpg you can't do rounded corners in the current stable. fluxbox still puts a line around the outside of a term (the stable) even if you tell it not to put a border.. see this old screenshot of mine: http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/m/t/mth1.../screenshot.pngnotice the blue line around the outside? for the exact command switch you need, check out: man aterm i think it's --no-border but i can't remember
iphitus
I'm running the latest rpm for the unstable fluxbox, and it is very stable. And I tried man fluxbox, found something there, The ~/.fluxbox/apps file. There you can set properties for programs so say everytime nautilus starts it is a certain, width, is on a certain desktop, or has a certain WM decoration. However this won't work for aterm. It is supposedly transient. Grumble grumble. And tyme, i don't care really if it has a small border still, so long as the title bar is gone. I'll try it now. iphitus
Wow, I just brought up a term then and all wm decorations were gone. Didn't even have a border!! Here are the lines out of my ~/.fluxbox/apps file if anyone wants to copy. [app] (aterm) [Deco] {0xbffff160} [Close] {yes} [end]

iphitus
I think it only works in the development version. Fortunately tou can get a mandy rpm from here: oh wait, the link i was going to give you is dead. Some asshole ruined my site's downloads So here is another link: http://rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/cooker/contr...-2mdk.i586.html James

When I run OOo it looks ugly, it isn't styled like all my GTK apps. It's just a horrible grey, remeniscent of Windex 95. How can I change it? The Appearance options in the prefs don't do much James
