pepz84
I have a dual boot system with mdv 2009 and win xp. I have a Asus A7V600-X mobo and 1,5 gb ram. After using Mandriva and rebooting system, the pc doesn't start and i have to switch off the power unit. Then i got this message from bios setup. I have been receiving this error since i use mandriva 2008.1, but i got no error if i use windows xp. My cpu speed is setted to 2000 Mhz and this is its right speed. How can i fix this? Please help me. bye pepz
{BBI}Nexus{BBI}
Maybe it's me but, I fail to see the link between Mandriva and your bios message?
ianw1974
What happens when you shut down the system (Mandriva) instead of a reboot, and then power it back on again. Does it come on normally? What is this message from the BIOS? You failed to put it here, so that we might be able to suggest more.
scarecrow
That message has nothing to do with the OS. Get sure you have the right setting in your BIOS.
pepz84
I have this problem the next day i used mdv 2009.0 and not on mandriva reboot. I don't think that it is wrong the setting of cpu speed cause if i use win wxp, i have no problem. To make the system work i have to switch it off and on the power unit otherwise pc doesn't start. The message is:"Wrong cpu speed. To have a safe system set the right speed" Thanks bye pepz
ianw1974
Then that is a BIOS problem and not Mandriva.

ianw1974
Check the webpage for your bios and see if it addresses any issues with your processor. Then perhaps check for a bios update, and update it.
