shen
What would be nice is a mini mdk and all rpm packages be optimised for i686..:) Now that would rock...slim down and remove the server packages and only 1-2 apps per task...:)
tyme
that would mean recompiling the RPMs from source (src RPMs which you can get on the mirrors), and would take for-freaking-ever, but it could be done.

Yeah, and it would literally take months on my computer. You've seen the specs. And Gowator, what cd are you talking about? James

iphitus
Well i'm about to make a CD chock full of software for a friend, and have some updates on it too. The software will be installed using urpmi and a shell script. I haven't started it yet, though. James
Guest seeds
OK - an update on rolling a mini-mdk. i've been working on doing the 1 Cd mandrake distro, using http://members.shaw.ca/mandrake/drakx/9.0/...L/section8.html as a base. I installed a box with only the software i wanted (and its dependencies), then used rpm -qa to get a list of what rpms where on it. From that i made the myRPMS directory as explained in the howto, which should be used by the mkcd script to build the installation cd. That didn't seem to work at all, so i tried using the MakeCD script (also on the first mandrake cd - under <cd1>/misc. ~/master_cd/MakeCD -t 9.1 -a -c 1 cd This worked better - listing packets that had dependency problems. sorted out all the dependencies apart from the last (and most important) one: REJECTED master disc 1 basesystem-9.0-3mdk.i586 (Needed dependency could not be put before: 102 103) i've mounted the iso that it's made, and basesystem is missing... any ideas how to get round this? any help appreciated!
