kmack
Almost posted this in games. Mods: if you think it fits there-- please feel free to move it. I have a Logitech Wingman Extreme joystick. Haven't bothered to hook it up, but want to play Tuxkart, etc when I need a break from work. 8) Which is the best format for hooking it up: Gameport or USB adapter? Any advantage or disadvantages to either? Your experience and input is greatly appreciated! :) I have a Creative SB Live! soundcard btw. DragonMage
USB all the way. Not only it is simpler to make it work in linux and windows but there is less driver to load and less hassle configuring the SB Live gameport to work too. All it requires to load are basically these modules joydev input hid
kmack
Dragonmage: Thanks for the confirmation! I test ran it in USB by modprobe and all seems to work fine. I wasn't sure if the gameport would be better or not, but since it is via Creative SB Live! I figured it might take some magic to make it work well.
