static
We all know that while it'd be real nice to have get more files on the gnutella or OpenFT networks, kazaa's fasttrack network is the only real option for finding anything from frozenpandapops.mp3 to pangalaticgargleblaster.exe "So static, if there's no kazaa for linux, are we screwed?" No! There are alternatives! There are fasttrack plugins for giFT, mldonkey, and maybe more. "Great! Later, sucker!" WAIT! Before you run off like a Bat outta He11, do us linux people a favour - setup your p2p client to be simutaneously using fasttrack and OpenFT (and gnutella if you're feeling saucy), so that you get more hits when you search, AND so that people using the open, free alternatives to the windows-only kazaa's network can get your files too. This way, eventually, kazaa won't be so "in-charge". :)
