SoulSe
I am still going to Google for this topic, I have searched the board with no results, but this is something I have been asked as well, so I thought it would be beneficial to start a thread. I have an old Pentium 1 that I want to turn into a firewall/router/jukebox... haven't decided yet. But I want to install Mandy on it. Now since its Bios does not support booting from a CDRom and I have tried the whole floppy-disc-pointing-to-cd thing without sucess, a network install seems to be the best option - but how? I can't seem to find it anywhere...
MottS
From Mandrake: http://mandrake.dsi.internet2.edu/Mandrake...stall.htm#other .. another one: http://www.sulug.sun.ac.za/distros/mandrak...ke.html#network I suggest you the hard drive method. You basically copy the first ISO to the harddrive, boot a special floppy, mount the iso and start the install. Here is an (more in detail) how to for that: http://www.mandrakeusers.org/viewtopic.php...d+drive+install HTH MottS
SoulSe
Thanks Motts  I will look at those links, the harddrive-method seems to make the most sense....
