hotwire Posted July 21, 2008 Report Share Posted July 21, 2008 I updated using the control pannel, and now the first option in Grub wont boot past udev. It keeps hanging. but... there are 2 new options in the boot loader, desktop586 2.6.24.5-2mnb and desktop586 2.6.24.5-2mnb. SO now I boot using the last option... desktop586 2.6.24.5-2mnb. hotwire Posted July 21, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 21, 2008 I am able to hit ESC, and see the verbose loading, and It hangs on udev. and thats it, it just stays there . {BBI}Nexus{BBI} Posted July 21, 2008 Report Share Posted July 21, 2008 Sometimes when boot appears to hang I press enter and it sometimes continues to boot. Failing that try pressing Alt & F2 or F3 etc, to cycle through the different terminals and you may see more messages.
